One year ago, we took a crucial step in our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility by obtaining B Corp certification. Today, we'd like to share with you the fruits of this process, as well as the initiatives we've decided to undertake since then. Naturalpes As the leading Swiss company in the legal cannabis industry, we have always had one intention at heart: to push back the boundaries of excellence, not only in terms of product and service quality, but also in terms of environmental and social responsibility.
Since our inception, we have held a bold and sustainable vision for the future—a vision in which the company’s success is inextricably linked to its impact on the planet and society. Our pursuit of sustainable excellence has been the driving force behind our commitment, guiding our decisions and influencing how we choose our partners, as well as how we design and deliver our products. This vision is concretely reflected in our commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
High performance and the promise of commitment
For Naturalpes and the B Corp community—which includes more than 110 certified companies in Switzerland and over 8,000 worldwide, of all sizes and from every sector—this certification is much more than just a label. It is a concrete commitment to high social, ethical, and environmental standards. This commitment is rigorously audited, conducted with full transparency, and renewed every three years. It is also a promise to constantly strive for the continuous improvement of our impact. Thus, it was with immense pride that we joined the global community of B Corp-certified companies a year ago and incorporated these criteria into our company’s articles of incorporation. Naturalpes represents Swiss organic CBD, from the Valais fields to the finished product.
Our commitment in action
Being a B Corp is not a goal in itself, but the recognition of a journey that never ends. That's why, over the past year, Naturalpes has intensified its efforts to improve social and environmental responsibility in all aspects of the company's business model (already present in our DNA before we were certified). We have strengthened our fair trade practices, taken concrete steps to minimize our environmental impact, and invested in initiatives that promote the local economic fabric. In line with the purchasing power of each country where the brand is present, we have also reviewed our pricing policy, as well as :
- Fair business practices: As a B Corp, we have included greater transparency in our dealings with suppliers, fair margins for our partners, and support for favorable working conditions.
- Reducing our environmental impact: Naturalpes has undertaken an in-depth assessment of its ecological footprint. We have identified areas for improvement in various departments and implemented initiatives to reduce our energy consumption, minimize our waste, use less polluting packaging by reducing the use of plastic as much as possible, use car pooling for employee journeys, and encourage public transport by contributing to employee costs.
Tangible results
One year after obtaining B Corp certification, we are beginning to see the results of our efforts, including a reduction in fuel costs, a circular economy enhanced by new local partnerships, and the award ofthe “Valais Certified Company” label. We have reached 80% recycled packaging, with a goal of 100% within five years. You have been invaluable partners in this journey, and we would like to express our gratitude for your ongoing support. Thanks to your trust, we have been able to make progress in our commitment to sustainability and social impact. Future challenges and opportunities
While we celebrate this significant milestone, we also recognize the challenges that remain. The path to sustainability is an ongoing effort, and our team is committed to remaining at the forefront of sustainable innovation and an ethical economy. We are mindful of the opportunities that lie ahead, whether through the adoption of cleaner technologies—such as the solvents used in extraction—the expansion of our social programs for our employees, or the continuous improvement of our products. Being B Corp certified is an important milestone, but it is not the end goal. For us at Naturalpes , the end goal is to achieve product excellence for our customers while remaining strongly committed to continuously improving our environmental impact. Our quality initiatives are advancing in parallel, as demonstrated by our Swiss ISO 9001 certification.
